Winding the Zig Zag to Fun with Science
Potrero Hill to Golden Gate Park/2nd and 4th Thursdays
Start off the afternoon enjoying lunch with a spectacular view in Potrero Hill and walk it off at the real crooked street of San Francisco, Vermont Street, which has all of the thrills and none of the crowds of Lombard Street. An extraordinarily scenic bus ride takes us to Golden Gate Park where we will enjoy an evening of science and celebration at the California Academy of Sciences.
Hippies to Hustlers
The Panhandle to the Tenderloin District/ 3rd Friday of the month 10am-6pm
Learn about the roots of the hippie movement and where some of the famous musicians from the sixties lived before crossing the wrong side of the tracks to meet the city's underworld in a fascinating tour of the Tenderloin. We will talk about our day while enjoying an early soul food dinner at the end of it.
Cheese, Booze and Barbeque
The Financial to the Mission District/ 2nd and 4th Mondays
The health conscious culture of modern San Francisco is a far cry from its earlier, more decadent days. We will indulge ourselves in a bit of this excess enjoying certain guilty pleasures that can still be found in the right places. Cancel your diet 'cause today will be filled with cheese, whiskey and barbeque. I don't hear any complaints.
